JACKSONVILLE – “Duval County Supervisor of Elections, Mike Hogan, wants all eligible voters to know a secure Vote-By-Mail ballot drop box is now located outside the Supervisor of Elections Office at 105 East Monroe Street in downtown Jacksonville. The drop box is now open during normal business hours, today through the beginning of Early Voting on October 19. In addition, we have always provided a drop slot in our front door that is available after hours and on week-ends”.
Beginning October 19, voters can drop off their completed Vote-by-Mail ballots to secure drop boxes located at all 20 Early Voting sites. The drop boxes will be accessible only during Early Voting hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., beginning October 19 and continuing through November 1. After 7:00 p.m., ballot drop off is available only at the Supervisor of Elections Office, where voters can deposit their completed ballots into the mail slot on the lower side of the front door.
Please note, Vote-by-Mail ballots cannot be dropped off when Early Voting sites are closed, except at the Supervisor of Elections Office in downtown Jacksonville.
“We are happy to offer drop boxes at all 20 Early Voting sites for voters to turn in their completed Vote-by-Mail ballots,” Hogan said.
Early Voting for the November 3 General Election will run from October 19 through November 1 at 20 locations throughout Duval County from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Finally, Supervisor Hogan reminds all voters the voter registration application boxes located in public libraries are for registration applications, not for Vote-by-Mail ballots.
