"All-elections" vote-by-mail ballot requests expire at the end of the calendar year after every regularly scheduled general election.
CURRENT "ALL-ELECTIONS" VOTE-BY-MAIL REQUESTS EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31, 2022.

must be received by our office no earlier than November 9, 2022.

Early voting (in-person voting at designated Duval County early voting sites)

Any eligible voter registered and living in Duval County may vote at any Duval County early voting site during early voting. Picture and signature ID are required; find the list of acceptable picture IDs at Voting Basics.

Deadline for Supervisor of Elections
to receive a request to send a
vote-by-mail ballot via mail 


October 29, 2022, 5 p.m.

HOWEVER, persons eligible to have vote-by-mail ballots delivered to them by email or fax (active-duty uniformed services and Merchant Marine members living outside Duval County; such members’ spouses and dependents living outside Duval County, and overseas voters) may continue requesting vote-by-mail ballots to be delivered to them by email or fax after this deadline of 5 p.m. US Eastern Time ten days prior to Election Day. Requests received after 7 p.m. US Eastern Time on Election Day will not be processed for that election, and the voted ballot must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by the deadline regardless of when the ballot is requested.

*Late registration is available for any individual or accompanying family member who has been discharged or separated from the uniformed services or the United States Merchant Marine, has returned from a military deployment or activation, or has separated from employment outside the territorial limits of the United States, after the book-closing date for an election and who is otherwise qualified. Such a person may register to vote in said election until 5 p.m. on the Friday before that election in the office of the Supervisor of Elections. Such person must produce sufficient documentation showing evidence of qualifying for late registration.

**Overseas voters have a 10-day deadline extension for ballots returned by mail in a presidential preference primary election and in a general election. Their deadline is November 18, 2022. For an overseas ballot to count after November 8, the overseas voted ballot must be postmarked or dated no later than Election Day, November 8, 2022, and received by the Supervisor of Elections of the county in which the voter is registered to vote no later than November 18. Ballots returned by overseas voters by fax must be returned by Election Day, November 8, 2022, 7 p.m.
