Duval County Supervisor of Elections Introduces ExpressVote Universal Voting System to replace AutoMARK Voter Assist Terminal

JACKSONVILLE – Duval County Supervisor of Elections, Mike Hogan, is excited to inform the public that with the start of the Early Voting cycle for the February 22, 2022, Special Unitary General Election, a new voting assistance terminal, the ExpressVote, will be introduced.

The ExpressVote replaces the AutoMARK Voter Assist Terminal, and it is a paper-based universal voting system designed to assist voters’ with special needs.

Once marked, the ExpressVote paper ballot is cast into the same DS200 vote tabulator as the traditional pre-printed paper ballot.

The ExpressVote will be introduced as a replacement to the AutoMARK, which is now obsolete, at Early Voting sites for this election. Signage will make voters aware of this introduction. In addition, all 199 Duval County voting precincts will have one ExpressVote, instead of the previously used AutoMARK, on Election Day, February 22, 2022.

“We are excited to introduce this new technology to the voters of Duval County. Voters who have used the ExpressVote in other Florida counties were delighted about it’s ease of use,” Hogan said.

For more information regarding Duval County’s introduction of the ExpressVote Universal Voting System, please call the Duval County Supervisor of Elections office at 904-255-VOTE (8683).
